The Neighborhood Council of Colicheu signed an agreement with Central Yungay of International Power Services to launch a sports and recreational course during the summer months, aimed at supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of women living in the rural area of Cabrero.
In the quiet locality of Colicheu, a group of women heads of household chose to take part in a meaningful initiative: a dance fitness course that—beyond steps and music—will become a space of energy, joy, and community.
Each afternoon, the community sports court will fill with laughter, shared glances, and that quiet strength known only to those who have carried their families forward with their own hands. Among Latin rhythms, free movement, and moments of rest, something deeper will emerge: the feeling of not being alone.
Dance will become a bridge to rebuild confidence, relieve stress, and rediscover the value of self-care. Through music and applause, a collective spirit will flourish—one of courageous, capable women who deserve spaces to celebrate life.
This course will leave more than choreography; it will leave lighter hearts, new friendships, and the certainty that in Colicheu, the strength of its women beats with more rhythm than ever.
